ShoesEnveloped in soft leather I continue my journey. Once white as the freshly fallen snow, they are now plagued by scuffs and dirt marks.

Heavenly smoothness interrupted by silver stitching, and a row of rhinestones on either side.
Each brown smudge another day traveling with no destination.
The laces now bear a dingy gray, from the nights that I kept walking, searching desperately for something better.

They bare the brand of Ecko Red. Red like the pain I know all too well.

But you’re just a bystander, an observer, as I press onward.
